Am enjoying SkyElite while learning the ropes.
So far I have noticed Istanbul's new airport LTFM totally missing from the Airports list (shows up in some of the map choices)
Also missing is Brisbane YBBN's new parallel runway 19R-01L (again it shows on some of the maps).
Also missing are Beijing Daxing ZBAD
Berlin Brandenburg EDDB has not been upgraded from Schonefeld

Any plans to upgrade the Airport lists?

Cheers and thanks

Hi, please give me some time to check and I will get back to you.

I'm using a 3th party tool to import airports, and only stock MSFS are imported. So far custom airports are not supported.

Before the release I imported the latest MSFS airports.

You mentioned that some of them show up in some maps but not in the list? Airports shown in maps are for sure in the list, so we have to find out why.

If you have a chance, please send me an screenshot of an airport on a map and not in the list, Don't forget to click in the blue airport icon on the map and screenshot with the airport information popped up

Thanks!

My apologies as I was not clear enough when I mentioned that some airports show on the map but not the list. What I mean is they show on the map as part of the map drawings which ofcourse have nothing to do with SkyElite. The missing airports DO NOT Display the blue icon on the map.

Another such case of missing airport is Stuttgart EDDS which is famously missing in MSFS.

Would be ideal if in future custom airports and addons are supported.

Hello,

If an airport doesn't show up in MSFS, it will be not in SkyElite either. SkyElite imports current included stock airports in MSFS only.

I will watch the way to import custom airports.

I imported MSFS airports again today, not in SkyElite but using other tools like Plan-G or LillteMapNav and your reported airports and runways doesn't appear there either. At least in my setup.

Sorry if I misunderstood but: Can you see those airports and runways in MSFS list and map and are they 100% default stock airports?

Thanks!

After an email with the user we found out what the matter is and I want to clarify this in the future to avoid future confusions.

SkyElite uses OpenStreetMap free sources for the map. Most of them draw in the map tiles locations like, in this matter, airports:

openstreetmap_airport.png You have insufficient rights to see the content.

But those kind of graphical representations of the airports are just drawn there by the map provider, so it is not an airport currently available in MSFS.

SkyElite will use airports included in the MSFS airport database, but map providers could show footprints of other ones not included in the simulator, in this case will be just a footprint in the map.

Hopefully Microsoft (or Asobo) will keep adding those in the future.

I think this should have high priority, if possible. There are a lot of users only or nearly only flying between addon airports.

Kind regards, Michael

I will do my best, but not always possible. See this comment from Little Navmap:

"Add-ons using the .fsarchive encrypted format are not supported. Little Navmap will show only the stock airport instead of the add-on if a package is locked down like this."

Unfortunately, there is not an easy way to get this information 100% of the times. In other simulators is very easy, not this one.

The utility from AivlaSoft the Electronic Flight Bag v2 has an included application called DbBuilder. This allows for the airport data to be updated and data includes MSFS stock airports as well as custom addons that are in stalled in the MSFS Community folder.

This updated data is then applied to the main Client application of EFBv2 and all airports are visually visible and usable. I know this because I have the program.
