Are you intending to do more work, or has development ceased? Still waiting on a fix to the gps functioning only as a direct to pointer, if you make any flight plan it will always show you as having captured the course. Also need fixes to the METAR and TAF. If you have abandoned the project please let me know so i can try to fix some of these things.

First, I'm going to answer your question and then clarify some things:

1. Yes, I'm actively working on both SkyElite and SkyScout projects. And there is an update for SkyElite coming soon.
2. The GPS deflection is fixed in this new update along with some other things.
3. No idea what the problems with METAR and TAF are, so unless users report issues, I have nothing planned to fix on this.
4. There is no reason to think I abandoned anything, I'm supporting everyone, making progress for the next updates, and actively working on SkyElite.
5. I never release an update until I fully tested all planed features. Never!
6. Releasing updates is something that I will be doing then next months, not only for fixes, but lot of ideas I have in mind.
7. The decision of when releasing an update is only my decision, and its based on the work load, testing to be done, plus manuals and documentation. There is a lot of things to be done for each update.
8. SkyElite is barely one month an a half in the market, not sure why you decided that I abandoned a project? just because I don't deliver a fix in less than two months?. I don't understand your point at all.
9. I will try to deliver the next update somewhere at the end of March, but this is not something I can't now promise, if I find additional details to take care of, maybe it will be delayed a bit more.
10. My advise from now on is not to approach your posts to me in this way, mainly, because there are no reasons to do this.

It's hard to tell if its abandoned or not that's why i asked. There isn't any kind of hey im working on this or were working on that etc emails or announcements or updates here or on flightsim.to or msfsaddons or avsim or anywhere else i can find, the metar and taf has never worked i assumed you knew that, just click on the metar or taf button for any airport and it pops up an empty box that says metar or taf accordingly. I enjoy the addon, but in all honesty it's pretty dead here from what i can see. I use the addon almost daily so after a month Im just wondering whats happening. Maybe send out a news letter, or make a weekly forum post, or open up a discord. anything to let your customers know you havent abandoned the project, when you say nothing you are leaving it up to us to venture a guess as to whether or not you will continue work on it. This is especially important when your app is for all intents and purposes a web app that anyone of us could work on and support. The flight sim community is full of developers who are just itching to improve things, and we're more then well acquainted with developers abandoning projects.

Couple the above with past posts by you saying that depending on the projects reception you may continue to work on it. How are we supposed to know how its been received if you're silent?

PS: try not to be so defensive, especially when dealing with people who pay for your work.
Also you dont have any licensing information included with your addon to tell people they cant modify and redistribute the source code. Just a pointer from a fellow dev.

Well, maybe is fine if you just ask: Is there any update coming? ... or something like that. Then if I don't answer in some days then you go ahead with the abandoned approach.

The metar works, I just tested, and I can show a video if you want. But as it is clearly stated in manual, there are 3th party dependencies on this software. The real weather is taken from a service on the internet, not all airports are always available. Sometimes the service is slow, sometimes metar for specific airports is not available. By the way, this is the first comment about this.

I'm not active in forums or internet, that is true. But I don't see any problem on this. Just be patience, its been only 6 weeks since was released. Don't expect me to be publishing one update per week, mainly because no other developer does this.

Pretty dead from what you can see? again, just because I did not update this in the first six weeks of the SkyElite life? are you serious?

Thanks for the update, that's what we need to see, most devs do keep in contact with us on discord now, it makes promoting your software much easier when others can see you're active, I've got at least 3 guys in my va who build simpits but aren't using skyelite because of the lack of information. I've tried metar from all different areas us eu png ak still just goes straight to a blank text box with the word metar above it, ill dig out the console and add some breakpoints to see where its getting stuck if i get the time.

I accept my silence on the forums when there is nothing to say... but this doesn't make your way better, because I'm answering all support questions very quick.

I will try to be more "active" posting some news, I always take a good advice. But still don't understand the way you have to see this an abandoned project just because I don't shout weekly in here.

See it this way please: if I don't post it is because I'm working hard and very busy, not only on this but in other projects. And if you have any concern, feel free to ask, but always polite and relaxed please.
